dForce Princess Petra's Graceful Bun - not so much dforce?

Hi everyone!

I just bought "dForce Princess Petra's Graceful Bun" and expected at least the bangs to be dynamic, but no such luck. You can't even edit them manually, no morphing or movement. It's really annoying!

Is it just me, or is that hair actually immobile and therefore pretty useless?

Luckily, I got it cheap. At full price, it would be outrageous.

    I don't have it.

Does the bangs have its own material zone?

Or does the hair in general simulate very little?

Then you can look in Surface settings for 'Local Shape Constrain Stiffness'. Default value is 0.9 and lowering it will make the hair more dynamic, conditioned that 'Dynamic Strength' is set to 1. If not set it to 1.

Only "the strays" (those neck strands) have a dynamic surface and are slightly moving.  'Local Shape Constrain Stiffness' makes them move more, thanks for the tip :-)

It's a shame, that the side bangs are just stiff.

With Surface Selection tool you select the bangs, you can see which surface they belong to. Then try and check this surface specifically and see if there is something that varies compared to the others.

Unfortunately the hair node of Bang is not dForce ready, i.e. no settings of Hair Simulation was added to Bang by the vendor. Users have no way to add the settings.

You can send a ticket requesting the vendor to add the simulation settings to the hair nodes of Main and Bang.

Edit: Or, you can deform them by using a D-Former(s) ~

Of course there is a difference: No dforce settings at all.

And since the hair is Strand Based it is not editable by me. Neither can I add a bone or morph. Only the Vendor can "dforce" it or add at least a simple Movement morph.

I have a couple of dynamic Strand based Hair and all of them simulate perfectly fine or have some styles and Morphs Parameters included.

This hairstyle looks unfinished and I wonder how it could have passed quality control.

Thank a lot crosswind - I think I will try to deform them myself for now. But I will also send a ticket, because it is very disappointing to release such beautiful hair so carelessly onto the end consumer. Especially since it's not exactly cheap under normal circumstances.
