Filatoon Fur (Cat)

Can anybody give me hints how to create nice-looking fur in Filatoon, especially for the DAZ cat? I do have this shader set: https://www.daz3d.com/filatoon-furs-and-fabrics, but the furs included are much too big, patternwise, and if I shrink them down they become too repetitive. I tried different conversion plug ins as well, but the fur always just looks like a bleached out version of the og Iray texture. Any Filatoon cracks out there willing to give clues?
