There goes my slaughterhouse horror scene
Will it work on skeletons?
Interesting. Would be a dream, if it could split different parts of characters, like Genesis 9 and 8.
It "can", but the results are not always perfect as in many cases bones are connected to multiple polygons of the mesh, that's the "warning".
It is much better spliting objects where each mesh has its own bone
The main thing is when a piece of mesh is connected to more than one bone, the result can as stated above be "from ok to bad", but it is very depending och mesh and the rig.
Thanks for the answer. Will wait for the release with great expectation.
Would it work on wearables, I wonder? Or is it the same problem?
Same problem, no clean way to "cut" as a polygon can sit between two bones, sometimes iot works, sometimes not.

Main issue you might face is splitting posed figures, then the poses and morphs wont stick when splitting, and some figures will get issues with stretched polys.
But as you see, it can work, if the items are ok.
Edit: I didnt bother split all things from G9, and I also split hands, feet and head with sub bones to avoid getting every finger part, lips, nose etc as separate split items
lol - this product looks great - love the renders with the hapless assemblers looking at their respective chores...
and the organic dis-assemblies look like you indicated... heh. In the right hands, you never know what folks might come up with :)
prolly gonna end up in my toolkit soon!
cheers,
