How do you install content on external (On Mac)
Hi. I have a mini mac. I've had Daz3d on it since I got it a year ago. Now when I go to render it says I am out of application memory. It says about 227GB are all DAZ content files. I would like to move all my files to my external but I don't know how to do this with a MAC. Can anyone give me a step by step on how to do it? I'm desperate.

Mine has been there for so long. I also started there on this machine.
General guideline is you go to preferences > Content tab > Content Directory Manager button > Daz studio formats > Add a new folder.
My main is /Volumes/My Book for Mac/ Daz Content Folder/My DAZ 3D Library
I know someone else that has more than 50 directories ...
You can move it all in once go or break it up so that is a bit up to you.
I have my libraries on an external drive on my Mac but moved them quite a few years ago so can't remember all the steps.
In addition to what the other posted said, you'd also want to add the new location to DIM (assuming you install products that way). Also, you'll either need to manually update the installation paths in all the DIM manifest files or remove the old library location in DIM. This is because while product paths are relative within Daz Studio, they are absolute within DIM. I believe this feature allows users to DIM-install to multiple places and have updates overwrite the old version rather than install a second copy.
I am so confused with all of this.
I should have did it when I first got the mac last year.
