On the topic of the wand's installers, I'll get that reported to them, aha. Thanks for checking - or... I thought someone did? Or did I read that elsewhere?
But is the punch a Hawaian Punch? :)
Mmmmm. I remember those commercials, and when there was only Fruit Juicy Red. I still get the sugar free sticks, which surprisingly taste a lot like the original canned punch.
Still trying to decide what OS to get off my WL.
I don't understand. I get a punch every day according to the game rules, but the discount is nowhere near as good as in June. I haven't bought anything yet and there are only 48 hours left!? Is this how promotions are done now?
Many items on my wish list weren't on sale, so why am I spending $1.99 every day?
I used the Ethereal Wand today. I struggled to get it posed in the character's hand, because the origin around which it rotates is the end tip of the want, not the handle end of the wand.
EDIT: So I used the Joint Editor tool to swap positions of the Origin and End Point. Now it is easier for me to use. It is quite pretty and has both light and dark materials.
You simply copy-pasted the XYZ value of the origin point, replaced them by the value of the end point and vice-versa or is there a secret Daz functionnality (possibly properly explained somewhere in their Wiki) available?
And I agree, it's a pretty wand: I replaced one I was used in a scene and it does look nicer than the one I had (I'll share the render one day: I'm using bloom, so afaik, a spot render will not work and the whole render is a bit long so I'll let the next heatwave ends before putting unecessary heat inside).
Thank you for the amazing gifts!
Not sure if it would work in this case, but my quick and dirty hack for when things aren't rotating from where I want them to is to create a group for it and then use the group designation to position it. I wind up doing this a lot when a pose changes a character's position on the X/Z, or if I geometry edit out a bunch of things in a group of props so I can use just the one prop I want.
@censored ... how about a flamingo beach toy..one you can ride in. inner tube looking flamingo...yeah, pink
Lots of beach toy stuff at DAZ, but no flamingo.
how did I miss that one in my searches? Thank you very much :)
I've never tasted one, but let's hope so ;-)
Because both the DAZ store search and the search in DS are both pretty terrible? Quite often I'll only find something by using google, which will steer me to a reference on another site or posted to one of the forums where someone has previously asked for help finding the same thing. And it doesn't help that often the actual product name is either nonsensical or completely misleading.
Where is this in DS 4.24, please? Haven't gotten around to installing 6
Tools>Joint Editor, and Window>Panes(Tabs)>Tool Settings while the tool is active.
Thanks, Richard!
Here's my silly test image with the wand and beach ball. I was rendering Beverly in this outfit, so I just added those two freebies from Censored.
Beach Float
Looks great! What is the water/beach environment you used for this?
At a guess, I'd say the recent Sandy Shore environment?
Oh probably yea.
Really nice!
Censored thank you for the lovely gifts throughout the week! My favorites were the wands and the goblet, but I'll find use for the beach props as well! Thank you again!
That's interesting, because my favorites were the opposite. I really liked the beach related items. (I live in Florida, so that probably biased my preferences.) Thank you, Censored.
Yes, thank you for the free gifts. My favorite was the beach chairs but I liked all the items.
I render almost exclusively science fiction and fantasy, with a pinch of horror, so anything in that vein, especially free, is getting thumbs up from me. Sure, I'll use the beach props for some tongue-in-cheek renders, but they'll still be SFFH.
Those are some of my most common genres as well, but the way I see it, Science Fiction and Fantasy are two such incredibly broad and overlapping in scope categories that I'm honestly hard pressed to think of much that couldn't potentially be included within them. I mean, even a product category like beachwear/lingerie has titles where that kind of product takes on a specific plot significance, such as The Stepford Wives, and Weird Science, and adding horror really makes things global. Really, the way I see it, any freebie that grants full commercial rights use is probably worth grabbing, given that inevitably you might come up with a use for it only after it's no longer available.
Killer tires, man-eating sofas—there's nothing that can't be used in horror or science fiction.
Thanks again to Censored, your free gifts were the only thing that made this promotion truly enjoyable.
