Geoshell for G8F: How to turn off hands visibility

dracorndracorn Posts: 2,377

I want to use a geoshell on G8F as an undergarment.  I have Geoshell Visibility Presets, but there is no preset to make the hands invisible while retaining the geoshell visibility on the arms.  I tried using Geometry Editor, but I can't seem to get it to affect the geoshell.

I want to hide the hands on the Geoshell, not on the G8F figure itself.  Genesis 8 does not have a separate surface for hands, so I can't do it there.

Did you try to hide the hands yourself?

The geoshell should not be affected by the visibility of the hands. Here's an example with a basic geoshell on a Genesis 8 figure who have all her bones hidden:

If it's not working, maybe the geoshell you're using has an opacity map to hide the whole arms surfaces.

    You want to turn off Visibility of lHand, rHand, lThumb1~3, rThumb1~3, lIndex1 ~ 3, rIndex 1~3, lMid1 ~ 3, rMid1 ~ 3, lRing1 ~ 3, rRing1 ~ 3, lPinky1 ~ 3, rPinky1 ~ 3. Then save a Properties Preset, just in case they'll be reset by some tools.

Or, you can make a black/white texture map as per G8F's diffuse map, assign it to Arms and Fingernails surfaces to hide the hands on the geoshell.

    Ah HA!

It's not in the Scene tab or the Surfaces tab, but on the Parameters tab.

    Thank you!
