How can I install old "U-Notebook" items in the "Available" tab
So, I've got an increasing number of rather old items that refuse to install into the newer versions of DS. I'm up to 44 now, and I'd still like to have been able to use some of them in projects.

I call them the "U-notebook" items because of the little icon symbol in their upper right corner--but I have no idea what their actual terminology would be.
There's no mention of how to deal with these in any DAZ Studio documentation ANYWHERE.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance,
Ryuu

U = user data (as opposed to the vendor data that coems from the store, in theory, though that clearly isn't the case here).
You are trying to install through Daz Studio? Have you updated metadata (when logging in, or using the command in the Connect menu? If not, try that. If that doesn't work - are these product or file references? If it is a product you could just right-click>Delete on the product icon, then update metadata to get the correct store metadata (and then install using that).
I'm using DIM for all my installations--except for when the store is selling those extras that come with some of the new released figures.
Yes, I've tried updating metadata but no joy there. And to the best of my knowledge, they should be the products.
I've not tried using the Connect menu. Are you suggesting I try that? If so, can you please remind me how to do Connect--since I've been trying to avoid using Connect, I'm afraid I've forgotten how.
OK, have =you tried deleting the product in DS (that doesn't uninstall the files, just removes the database entries) and then reinstalling the product through DIM (reinstall is an option if you right-click on the entry in the Installed tab in DIM, assuming you still have the zip on disc)?
