Help with Ravenloor's i-ray Graffiti

I imagine I am being incredibly dumb in some way, but I am failing to see how Ravenloor's i-ray Graffiti is supposed to work. The notion of 'projecting' something onto a surface is new to me, beyond the way lights work. Is there a tutorial that I can be pointed to about how to operate this product? I'm not seeing any result from loading a wearable or stand alone decal, loading a graffiti texture to it and parenting it to the wal I want it on. Any help in this direction would be very handy indeed!

"Iray Street Graffiti is a collection of decals that can be projected onto any mesh surface. Using the included decal nodes, parented to an object, you can project a series of artistic street graffiti and tags onto walls, floors, vehicles, and anything else in 3D space."

Which viewport mode are you using? Decals will only show up in Iray preview or render.

  • OH! There we go. Pure luck has helped me to find a start point. I think I have something to work with now. Changing the clipping helped me to get there, and that led me to projection rotation. It was cropped very small (for want of a better word). Now I think I can find a way.

Thanks Leana, I was in an i-ray viewport.  Am seeing it now I've figured out which sliders to play with.
