Very well then. I stand corrected. Thanks! I guess actual closure sales are rare as hen's teeth.
uh, the mad scientists says: "hold my beer..."
Just noticed it missing as well; luckily I picked it up (and the costume and hair) recently but now should I be worried about using them in my artwork?
The steampunk outfit by Luthbel is also gone. Maybe they're becoming Daz3d buyouts like some of his other products are now.
I only grabbed the outfit, the character is inactive in my wishlist
I did get it very cheap though $7.00USD
Here's hoping it comes back to the store someday. Liked both the character and his hair. Thanks, Phoenix1966.
No, your license to use items you bought from Daz3d doesn't end if they are removed from the store.
Thanks, but not my question. I have purchased other items here in the past that were then removed from the store because they etiher violated copyright or the original creator of the character(s) warned them of copyright infringement. My concern is if this is the case with these, can I *safely*use them in my artwork?
For example, in 2010 I purchased the "Clockwork Familiar" which was removed shortly thereafter. It was thought to be almost identical to the clockwork minions used in the "Girl Genius" comics (and the creator, Phil Foglio, is known to be very protective of his work, as well he should be):
As a result, I've been very caretul not to use the models in my online artwork. I'm just wondering if I need to be careful with this excellent Steampunk set.
I don't think it's a copyright issue. Speculation isn't allowed here, so I won't share my guesses. But I really like the outfit and the character, although I haven't bought it yet. This is because SSD capacity and budget have temporarily ruled out most G9 products. I hope PA can handle this matter well.
