Looking for a tutorial on hair
For the longest time, I have simply selected a hair product (the highest quality I can find, regardless of price), applied it to my characters, picked a color, and that was it. I have never even come close to matching the looks of the product thumbnails. I tried a little moving dials around in the surfaces tab, but I never really knew what I was doing. It didn't matter what vendor I went with; I never got the hair to look as good as the product previews. In fact after several years I still can't get a nice solid black hair, they always come out looking grey. I was wondering if there was a tutorial out there that does a good job of taking a novice through the steps to obtaining really nice-looking hair?

Hair can be a bigger topic.
Their are two types of hair that works differently, polygon hair (classic hair aka haircards) and strand based hair.
If you are looking for a different color than what is offered with the product, you can tweak surface settings or images to get the wanted solution.
If you are after a moderately different style, you can morph the hair, inside Daz Studio with dFormers or Mesh Grabber (Mesh Grabber only works on polygon hair, unless you are Premier member and have access to Geometry Scultur) or in an external modelling application.

Thank you for the link. I actually use Jay's tutorials quite a bit; I think his tutorials are a cut above everyone else's, in any subject matter. I looked through his videos, and I must have missed this one. Thank you once again.
