Does Shadow Play DAZ Studio Lights from Forbidden Whispers work in DAZ 6?

I bought Shadow Play because I needed a gobo effect in a scene.

It's installed correctly, shows up in the library where it's supposed to, and the gobo camera loads into the scene just fine.

Evironment is set to Scene Only, there are no other lights - total darkness when I turn the light off. I've positioned it between 2-3m from the figure, and the intensity and light color seem to work fine - it lights up the scene and character as expected, the shadow/gobo effect just doesn't appear in Iray preview.

The gobo image appears to be formatted correctly (b&w high contrast png), and I've tried multiple gobos both from the set and third party, and none have projected shadows. Everything that can be set to "On" for appearance is. I've adjusted every available slider and none have seemed to affect the issue.

At this point I'm wondering if it's using old Iray presets, or...what? Has anyone gotten this product to work in Daz 6? If so, is there something I need to do that I'm not doing?

Unfortunately that is a 3Delight product, so it won't work fully in the current version of DS 4 or in DS 6. That said, the gobos could be applied as opacity to a plane primitive that you place in front of a spot light to make your own gobo.

Thank you, I'd started down that path while the post was being approved. To clarify for anyone searching this in the future, the gobo lights from Shadow Play as designed won't work with Iray, but you can create a physical gobo using a primitive plane in front of a spotlight, and you can use the included gobo images (under Runtime > Textures > [Vendor Folder] > Shadow Play. So yes, you can still get these effects, just not right out of the box. There are Gel Lights and Gobo Light tutorials around if you need them.
