Plugins made for DS4 do not work in DS6.
They all need to be updated in order to work with it (at least be recompiled with the new DS6 SDK, but more work can be required depending on the plugin code).

We've been told that the Mesh Grabber plugin by Manfriday was purchased by Daz3d and will not be updated for Daz 6.  Daz has developed it's own equivalent feature for Daz 6, but it requires a priemer subscription to activate it.

This happened over a year ago (maybe 2 by now) when Premiere first became a thing. Daz bought several of Manfriday's plugins and they are the basis for many of the Premiere only plugins.

Geometry Sculptor is developed from Mesh Grabber 4, though Daz has added stuff to it (see the DS change logs). It isn't a separate tool with similar features.

Or use Mesh Grabber in DS 4, bake the changes to a morph, and open that scene in DS 6.

In my opinion, you're probably better off learning to use d-formers.  Yes, I know you can make several edits with Mesh Grabber in the same time it takes to make one edit using a d-former, but for me, that's still quicker than round tripping scenes between Daz 4 and Daz 6.

I hate using both mesh grabber and d-formers. :) Mesh Grabber (the old one) has no meaningful undo. Undo is delete the object and load a new copy.

And d-formers would be nice if they didn't have to be children. They should have a fit to or point at or something that connects them. (Same goes for decals.) And a d-former feels really heavy weight for moving some cloth here and there. :)

If you're referring to d-formers, they are included for free with Daz Studio.  You do not need to purchase them separately.

Push Modifiers (also part of the base application) with weightmaps can also be useful for some things.
