Trying to learn how to rig in Poser 7 for use in daz3d version 3
Can anyone point me in the right direction of any tutorial, books, resource, etc to learn how to rig a character in Poser 7 for use in DAZ3d? I know that rigging can be done in newer versions of Daz but my interest is in making new figures i create work in daz 3. I have a copy of Poser 7 and would like to learn to rig my custom figures to work with existing sets and poses that i have already in Daz 3. Also does anyone know of any tutorials or resources (free or paid) that would help me? For example would Darkseal's Z Poser Figure Creation with Darkseal work?

The Figure Setup Tools work in DS 3, if you have them or have the non-free version of DS 3 that includes them. You can also use them in DS 4 to create a Parametric rigging figure, which will work in older vesions of Poser and DS.
That tutorial looks as if it should cover rigging in Poser, though I don't have it to be sure.
Thanks. So parametric rigging in DS4 will work in DS3? If so that would be great. I only mentioned Poser because i do have a copy (purchased it a long time ago due to the bundled figures). I really just want to model my own figures to go with sets i have in DS3. I would like to emulate similiar rigging so i can use a lot of poses i have for DS3. I do have figure set up tools in DS3. Can you fully rig a working figure just using those tool? One other question, is there a tutorial out there that covers this?
You'd need to export to CR2 (and the geometry, Poser-scaled, to OBJ first so that the CR 2 could point to it) because DS 3 won't read .duf files, but yes you can do the rigging in DS 4 and use it in DS 3 or earlier or in Poser. There are various tutorials around, both in the store and elsewhere, though I don't have any links to hand.
I have the Darkseal tutorial, it's very in-depth and if you're working with an older version of Poser then it's worth the money. The tutorial uses Poser Pro 2012, an older version of ZBrush (ugh), and Photoshop.
