Setting up OLD assets for smart content

I have a bunch of old assets from the early days of D|S, and some from before D|S was a thing, and I would like to get them added as smart content.
I have installed them and they work through the content library. Normally I would use "Content Wizard" to create the meta data and stuff. Unfortunetly it looks like content wizard doesn't recognize the old poser formats and generates an "no user facing files" error. Is there an easy way to convert the old poser files to DUF?

For environnement and props there's this product: https://www.daz3d.com/legacy-set-converter
You can add the metadata yourself, by drag-and drop the files from Content Library into Smart Content and then when asked telling it what type of file it is. If you have an already processed item loaded into the scene and seelcted wgen you do that the draged files will be made compatible with the selected item. So start with a base figure, then load and select it, then move characters, materials, hair and clothes, then load and select a piece of clothing or hair and drag its materials across and so on. I wouldn't suggest doing all in one go, but if you do it as you need an item from a set then you should at least get your most-used stuff added fairly quickly.
Thanks, Wishlisted.
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Is there a more detailed step by step tutorial anywhere? That went really badly, hopefully my DB isn't completely messed up now. :(
I don't use the method explained by Richard Haseltine (didn't know it was possible) but if you want to use the Metadata editor to add metadata, while this video by Sloshwerk is old the principle is still the same with the current version of Daz Studio:
Thanks, that looks useful.
