Meaning of the "Parenting Data" Checkbox

HI,
I would like to package multiple props that have parent-child relationships into a single prop.
My understanding is that this is not possible due to a limitation of Daz Studio, and that such content must instead be saved as either a Scene or a Scene Asset.
However, I noticed that the Save As > Support Asset > Figure/Prop Assets dialog contains a "Parenting Data" checkbox, which made me wonder whether this might actually be possible.
The problem is that, for some reason, I cannot enable this checkbox.
Am I misunderstanding how this feature works? Is it possible to package multiple props into a single prop asset rather than saving them as a scene or scene asset? If so, what is the purpose of the "Parenting Data" checkbox, and under what conditions can it be enabled?
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

The option of Parenting Data can be only used for the case that you Parent non-rigged items (Props) to a Figure, i.e. the Parent of the Props has to be a Figure.
In your case, you parented some Props to a Prop, you need to firstly save each Prop as a Figure/Prop Asset, then save a Scene Sub-set with the Parent Prop selected. Using a Scene Asset is not really suggested.
The parent prop has been converted to a figure and contains a rig.
The two child props do not have rigs and are parented to it. In this case, is the option still unavailable?
No... that's not how Parent Data works. You should've selected the children Props one by one to save a Prop asset rather than selecting their Parent. (It's just like the way you save a rigged clothing as a Figure asset...)
Then when you load the saved child Prop to the selected figure, the Prop will be smartly parented to its parent Bone accordingly. Check the screenshot down below ~~
PS : Be noted that when you save a Figure / Prop asset, you can only save the selected item... None of the parented children item can be saved together. That's how Save Figure/Prop Asset... works.
I understand the meaning of the "Parenting Data" checkbox now. Thank you very much for your help.
