Carrara Folks Opinion On The New Daz Studio?

I have been doing Carrara short animations for a long time, and more recently getting into DAZ Studio for those spectacular renders with iRay for backgrounds, since they can take an hour +/- on my best machine with only 2GB VRAM.
So I've been waiting to get a new machine with, say, 32GB VRAM and an nVidia 5000 series GPU. So ... is it time to do this? I'm seeing negative comments in the DS Forums.

For myself, I primarily use Daz Studio as a plugin. For example, it is useful for transferring rigging between models, rigging conforming clothing, applying DForce for a drape and then saving as a prop - that sort of thing. When I inquired about such topics, not only was I disappointed that no one gushed about great new rigging features, but some reported acutal loss of some rigging functions. And because Daz Studio depends so much on 3rd party plugins, and many of those plugins have not been updated by their authors yet, much of its immediate functionality for me is negative.
That does not mean Daz Studio 6 will never be better than the 4 series for me. It only means I have no incentive to be an early adopter.
NOTE - Daz Studio 6 might be great for rendering your backgrounds and upgrading your hardware for it might be worth it.
you can install D|S4 as well and indeed should for the plugins and render the saved scenes in 6
you also need 4 to convert stuff to blended weight for Carrara
Filament still works in it too
Thanks for the feedback, folks. My needs are pretty basic for now, just iRay renders with purchased products, e.g. Stonemason and similar. No plugins, rigging, DForce, blended weight, or even Filament. So DS6 apprently has reached my minimal need, supporting the latest nVidia cards for iRay. The bad news is SHEEESH, these things are expensive. Here is the top choice at Micro Center (although I will probably get my long time custom builder to do it, getting exactly what I need and no bloatware). (If I can sell a kidney to pay for it)

I think the GPU retails for ~$4,000. The rest of the computer is apparently an accessory.
i have 9900x cpu 12 cores
5070ti gpu 16gb vram
64gb ram
i ran the same scene in ds4 cpu and ds6 gpu only:
50m 3s gpu
2h 0m cpu.
Okay, thanks. Just to clarify, the DS6 GPU render time was less than half the DS4 CPU render time, right? All the renders on my 2GB VRAM machine are CPU only. I'm hoping a 32GB GPU will cut render times way down.
Okay, thanks. I'm considering going back to hand drawn cell animation. Pencils are still affordable.
Hi Steve K
It's late in the night right now so please excuse that I'm posting and may not be back for any reply. Actually, since I'm going off-topic, I'll put what I want to say on the off-topic thread.
As for DAZ Studio, I have no interest.
