Laptops with nVidia - What are the Possibilities?

I'm looking at some new laptops that have nVidia graphics cards in them! Some are looking really good, for the games being used for demo. However, I'm not sure how well one would work when getting a DAZ Studio iRay render done. I am starting this discussion here, not just for my own learning, but to help others learn as well, about what is possible with these new Laptops.
Will the latest DAZ Studio 6 run on such a laptop?
Will the Iray renderer even work on a laptop that has nVidia?
What are the recommendations, if it is possible, for relatively smoothe renders?
Join in the discussion, whether or not you know anything about this. If you know anything, please share what you know. If you are here to learn, hopefully someone can provide the knowledge we seek. As for me, what I learn will decide whether or not I go for such a laptop.
Cheers!

I happened to pick up an ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 G635LW on sale on Amazon last year. It comes with an RTX 5080 Laptop GPU and 16GB of VRAM.
Before this, I was using a 2017 iMac for my final Iray renders, and it used to take over 3 days for longer renders. Now, with the 5080, it takes about 1 to 2 hours on average, and around 7 hours at most.
When I check the GPU memory usage for my scenes, it often sits just a bit over 8GB. My typical scenes usually consist of one Genesis 9 character, an environment set, and a few extra props, so a model with only 8GB of VRAM definitely wouldn't be enough.
Laptops are just fine--but make sure you take VRAM into consideration since Nvidia's laptop models have less than their desktop equivalents. I recommend Lenovo Legion, they're built solid, have excellent cooling, and almost no bloatware aside from McAfee.
