Is there a way to uninstall or simply remove the 3Delight versions of content that also has Iray?

I don't know how much space they are taking up, but space is really at a premium on my content disk at the moment

    If the product is combined 3DL and Iray, you can't uninstall the 3DL part.

    If the Iray product is an addon to the original product, you still need the original as it contains the geometry.

    The only solution I can see is manually to delete 3DL files, but if you reinstall the product they will come back.

    The files with 3DL information will be snall, as it is only a textfile for the surface description.

    One I happened to be looking at when I decided to check back here (Back Door Walkway) was 249KB, but it is just a fairly small prop.

    I'm hoping not to reinstall in the forseeable future, so I might take a run through and delete some.

    Although I would need to run a new backup, because the two-way check on my backup program is a bit iffy. I need to do one sometime anyway, because I'm correcting a lot of mis-spelling and categorisation, but with over 3Tb of content it takes a long time. I just hope I don't need to restore from backup until after I've completed the current phase of re-sorting
