Maintaining character dimensions

I haven't found a pattern to it so far, but occasionally, after I have created a scene in which two characters interact in some way ( foreheads together, arm over shoulder etc.), I save the files as per usual and close the program.

Then, when I next open this same file, one of the characters has somehow changed dimensions and no longer line up with the other character. They maintain their pose but not their size.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Have you installed new character between saving and reloading?

Not sure what you mean. I saved the file before closing it and then found the issue when I reopened that same file again, in this case, the next day. .

I might have created a new character within the program but totally independent and not involving that particular file with the issue

Up until now, it seemed to involve characters that I created earlier and saved as a Persona and uploaded it into a new file, but the latest situation was using an Actor and then attaching the Wearables for that character and had then done the 'save', 'close' then 'reopen' sequence.

Is the character only shorter, i.e. no other shapes have changed?

What happens if you save the pose, load the original character (not from the saved file) and apply the pose to it?

Okay, I created a totally new image file, added two characters, Nathan 9 HD ( https://www.daz3d.com/nathan-9-hd) and Phx Han HD (https://www.daz3d.com/phx-han-hd-for-genesis-9-masculine), and set up a scene and rendered it straight away, Dimensions Issue 01 (attached).

    Closed the program.

Then, this morning, I opened that same file and rendered the same view. Dimensions Issue 02 (attached).

As you can see, the Nathan character (Red Shirt) has shrunk for no apparent reason!

Both characters were 'out of the box', not characters I had made and saved.

I then loaded a new Nathan 9 HD into that same scene, put him in the same pose as the first Nathan then moved him into the same 'x' and 'y' positions and slightly back from the 'z' position as the first Nathan and you can see the results in Dimensions Issue 03 (Attached)

I checked, the Nathan character has shrunk from Scale: 116.7% to 109.4% .

I haven't heard of that before, and don't have an idea what can cause it.

If you open the scene file (it can be read in a texteditor like norepad or notepad ++, needs to be unzipped first if compressen) and then find (search) Nathan, what scale does he then have?
