Utility to help with applying new texture maps

DeeceyDeecey Posts: 187

On the Poser side, I use Dimension 3D's Poser File Editor to easily make changes to reassign textures to a character. However, I can't seem to find something similar on the DAZ side, and I find the surface editor to be really cumbersome to use.

Is there something available anywhere that would be easier to use?  Thanks in advance.

Maybe not. It doesn't support Genesis 9. Any other ideas?

    • You could save out a mat preset and then use a text editor to find/replace the specific file/folders
    • You probably already know this, but you can drag/drop maps into the Surfaces tab onto the channels, which if you didnt know may speed up process

It doesn't? Gen 9 is certainly in the list of compatible figures.

It’s listed as supported in product description too.

edit: according to the readme it was updated to support G9 in 2022

Yeah I'm looking into it now. My old brain doesn't work as well as it used to, and I'm having a hard time following the docs. The last year in particular has been bad for memory. Time to see the doc. That's why I decided to retire from writing documentation. LOL

But yes, I see that it does now support G9.

In case you have other problems, there is a commercial thread monitored by V3Digitimes:
