Limbstick G8M typeerror?
Not sure what is going on but 3D Universes Limbstick for G8 has been working fine since first installed but now is producing errors.
According to the log typerror?

I uninstalled and then re-installed Limstick but no change.
I cant figure thus out it has been working fine for years.

Okay I figured maybe the old v4 of DS was the issue so I

>Deleted v4 folder
>Removed v4 from the DIM instalation paths so now there is only the 2026 public build listed as a download.

Okay nothing is working with G8 with Limbstick so I tried G9 instead, same result.
Looked back in the DIM and it has put the DS v4 install paths back in despite me removing them.
Despite this there is only one version of DS the 2026 build installed but as the DIM ignores anything I input regarding install paths I am unsure what is going on.
Please has anyone run into this as I am at a standstill?
Okay here we go again.
Manualy downloaded limbstick (both versions G8 & G9)
unpacked and installed in the my library folder on the C drive so the public build should have no issue accessing it.
Same result.
Q: has anyone been able to get Limbstick to work with the 2026 public build?

It may well not work with DS 2026, the error message suggests that the type of a data item is not the same as it was in older versions (types being things like numbers, strings, and also all the DS-specific things like figures, nodes, UIU elements and so on). C an you not use it in DS 4 and then send the result over to DS 2026 for rendering?
Unfortunatly my new machine has a 5060 graphics chip and it doesnt render Iray on the DS v4x.
That is why Richard suggested you do the scene in DS4 and save it, and load it in DS6 and render.
Yes kind of like having to us DS32 for the old mimic lypsync, save then hop onto the DS64 to finish.
Clunky but workable, I'll be gald when 2026 becomes a standard release.
