What is going on with DIM, I suddenly have hundreds of extra icons in smart content

I never login to Daz Studio or install anything with connect, I only use DIM to install everything. But suddenly I have probably hundreds of extra icons with exclamation points for smart content. How do I fix this? Daz Studio is working fine. Many of the icons seem to be just new extra icons for things that are already installed. For example, if I look at the info for the first icon, it will say "SE Futuristic Interior Poses for Genesis 9". Which I have installed and it is working, all the poses are there and thumbnails. its just this extra icon has been created for some reason. And I have hundreds of them.

Do the files that are working appear in Smart Content or only in the Content Library pane?
Yes the working files appear in Smart Content, as well as the Content Library. No idea why or when exactly these "extras" were created. I suppose they don't cause any harm, but it would be nice to know why they were created. Is it some kind of file corruption that I should be worried about becoming a bigger problem? Like "almost overnight" I have tons of them, but I don't know the exact date they appeared, as I don't always use smart content. I usually use Content Library, but sometimes I browse the Smart Content pane when I am trying to find something visually. But I would guess they appeared in the last 2 weeks at some point. I haven't bought much of anything in the store in these past 2 weeks, just installed mostly freebies from the store.
