ZK dForce Imperial Dress for Genesis 9- Its kind of a big mess...

Not to get too critical, but I just want to encourage ZKuro to go back and adjust the product, ZK dForce Imperial Dress for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D

Unless I'm doing something wrong with it that I'm not aware of, loading this dress on a model leaves their toes sticking out of the bottom of the hem of the dress, while in the neutral pose. The adjustment morphs that come with the dress do not adjust the dress in any way to cover up the toes. It widens the hem to the left or right, but does not move the hem to the front or the back, in order to cover them. Applying heels will fix the positioning of the feet to stop clipping through the hem... while in the neutral pose.  Applying a pose to a model wearing the dress causes the legs to clip through the entire bottom of the dress which doesn't conform to the general position of the model.

I'm not talking about a dramatic running pose, I'm talking about a generic standing pose with legs together and crossed over. Ok, well lets just simulate from memorized pose, the neutral one... Starting from the neutral memorized pose clips the toes right through the bottom of the hem and as the toes move into the posed position, it creates a clippy, bunched up mess.  From the ankles up, everything looks great, but if you want a full body shot or a normal looking bottom of the dress, yer gonna have a bad time...

Again, maybe I'm doing something wrong, or there is a special way to get this dress to not have the toes clip through it ( without using mesh grabber, which is always a life saver), I would suggest that Zkuro release an update to the adjustment morphs to cover up the feet.  I really would love to use this dress because it fits work that I would love to do perfectly, otherwise, but it really is kind of a mess. If mesh grabber really is mandatory for using this product, you better update the store page...

may need an animated pose for now, unchecking start from memorized pose and simulating into your pose on the timeline from bent foot

needs fixing though as that's not acceptable, so contact support

    I don't own it

The product page lists a feet pose, have you tried using that?

There is no included foot pose. Not in what I downloaded, anyway. Installed from DIM.

From the file list it looks like the foot pose is missing.

You could file a Help request, to get Daz notified that there is an error.

What happen if you just bend a foot, does the dress follow or stay were it was?

If the simulation is set to start from the memorised pose (which is the default) don't forget to memorise the figure pose (or the poses for the foot bones) from Edit>Figure>Memorise after adjusting the feet.

The Wearables preset for the full outfit does pose the feet, in a rather extreme high-heeled pose, but it is using a controller on the figure node (* Foot Heeled Shoe) and that isn't memorised. Unfortunately memorising a figure-level pose control does not stop the simulation from zeroing it (not sure whyt, it leaves the figure translations and rotations alone  regardless of memorisation). The fix would be to transfer the bends on the foot and toe bones to the bones themselves, then memorise them, zeroing the figure-level controls.

When I have outfit with heels but no foot pose and I need to simulate a long, draping item(s), I check out feet poses from other heels and pick the one that looks like a similar heel height. But as @felis noted, you can adjust the foot yourself, and PowerPose is good for that.

The dress doesn't follow the body pose well at all. the top is decent enough. The skirt? not so much.

Oh boy... been using this program for a long time, and I've never had to do something like that! Lol... I will try mesh grabber and see how well it simulates after having to pull it so far away. I won't give up hope for it, because if you are doing a waist up shot, it could be ok... Just might wanna go back and add, "widen feet" as a morph to all the other "widen" parameters and issue an update. Save us all the trouble, cause otherwise, i like the dress. It would be perfect for what I'm looking for, other than that!

I almost never simulate from memorized pose (Simulation setting: 'Start from memorized pose' Off).

If aplying the A-pose at frame 0, but with the feet bend down so they dont interact with the dress, set the desired pose at frame 20 (if a more advanced pose at maybe frame 40) and simulate (using timeline animation).
