Daz studio wont even open.

I've had multiple fresh reinstalls, and the program itself starts up as soon as it hits the building environment on startup. It crashes and says: DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins\dzshaderbuilder.dll" at 0033:000000000937EF7B

What are your system specifications? What security software are  you using? Is this the current version of Daz Studio, and is it 4 or 6?

4.24 is the latest version of DS, there is also DS 2026 (which was DS 2025 last year) in beta - is that DS 2025/6 (which is Daz Studio 6 internally) or DS 4.24.0.4 or earlier?

16GB system RAM isn't a lot, though it should be enough to start the applicaiton. You will certainly have disc-swapping (and if that is your only disc then that may run out too) when rendering anythiong that uses a lot of the GPUs  12GB.

Are you loading an empty scene or are you double-clicking on an existing scene file to launch DS? Has it been woprking on the current system in the past? If so, can you recall which drawstyle the Viewport was using when you last closed the application?
