Semi related as a sort of confirmation on DS 2026 slowness:
It chokes on Many nodes meaning, thousands
In my shatter tool as little as 3 to 4 thousand shards/pieces choke DS 2026, especially playback with 10s of thousands of keys and in Iray.
In another tool Im making, I have 3 modes, render only, % preview, and full population, full population of say 10000 items slows it all down, even as instances, especially viewport navigation or switching between view types ie shaded, wireframe etc
DS 4.24.04 doesnt have these issues

Frankly, I find the display list bug even more annoying. Using magic extract in DS4 allows you to sort the list. It doesn't work in DS6 and IIRC V3D said that's a known DS6 bug with the list object.

I confirmed I observed the same issue while making my products compatible with DS6. Everything with many instances made the viewport... horrible...And were fine in DS4. Hope they will solve this as time goes by!

I thought I used the CTRL or SHIFT + column click to sort elements. Maybe not.. That's what I ended up doing with lists in my other DS6 updates. Anyway it is not the case yet, this will be fixed in the next update, whatever the update choice I make ("safe mode" or "integrated external parser").
