m4 clothes and later genesis

Hi just curious, I have had no luck in getting m4 clothes to later figures, but I am trying m4 clothes on like gen 8 or 9. Is there a way to maybe get them on basic genesis, then copy forward? Not sure if I am being clear. Just wondering if people know how to get gen 4 clothes usable on gen 8 or 9

and similar for V4, if you don't want to go from M4 > G1, G1 > G2, G2 > G3, G3 > G8.

You might be able to jump some steps, as I can't remember how far back each character has clones default.

Thank you. I had forgotten about that script. I had also forgotten about the move from m4 to genesis. and forward. I suppose I save the converted item as a figure asset and then can load it on a later generation? I will try that first.

(Note: I have the V4/M4 to G3 F/M). Yes, just save as. The PAs recommend saving to a separate folder. I use Daz Studio Formats/My Library instead of the default Daz Studio Formats/My Daz Library.
