Sci-fi Ring Habitat Background elements

Something like this would be a super cool asset for Sci-fi scenes. Something along the lines of Larry Nivens Ringworld, Orbitals from Ian M Banks Culture series, Halo's Halo rings or Elysiums Elysium habitat.

It wouldn't necessarily need to be a super high poly asset, more as a great background element for sci-fi interiors (to be viewed out of windows etc) or just generally combined with sci-fi structures like decks and bridges etc

It's something that needs the inspiration of a KromeKat. This is from KromeKat in 2017:

I've loved it since I first saw it in 2017 at Rendo.

I wonder if you could do the background image part with the mother of all cylinder primitives?

Grab a suitable ariel photograph from Google Earth. Turn it into a seamless texture for the cylinder in Photoshop. Take the top and bottom off the cylider and make it huge, maybe flanked by a couple of equally huge torus primitives.

Then use ultrascenery or whatever other stuff with actual geometry to provide the foreground.

Might be interesting to have a go.
