Daz to Maya in 2026?

I THINK I know the answer to this from trial, error, and poking around the web but:

To me it seems that this bridge is completely useless without a Maya install of 2020 or maybe 2022. New versions are a hard no.

Is this correct?

Is there some magic I've not discovered yet?
