Using An External Hard drive for runtime
I am new at DS. I started buck in June 25 but was not able to work on the computer starting July 14th when I was in an automobil accident. on July 14th & was unable to work on the computer until around December & then not for long. My neck injury has resently gotten better & I started learning DS & working in the program, I also bought a lot of materail to work with in DS. My computer was starting to work slow so I bought an external hard drive, I worked in Poser for 16 tears & had my runtime on an External harddrive, Anyway I moved my DS material over in the external hard drive & I can't get anything to work. What can I do to get my DS working again. Do I have to move everything back to my computer or am I going to start all ove & reinstall all those many pages of material. HELP PLEASE!

It should work, you need to seelct the folder that contains the Runtiem and Data folders as a Daz Studio 9and possibly Poser) Content Directory, which you can do by right-click on the daz Studio Formats (or Poser Formats) header in the Content Library pane. Content installed through Connect you should select the new location for the Data as the Daz Connect data Directory in Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager. Do make sure that the drive letter doesn't chnage as that will then make the path settings wrong.
