Exporting a character with Dome lighting, without the dome showing in the Render?

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to light a character based on Dome/Environment lighting, matching a reference photo. And I then want to render and export the character as a stand-alone png, with only a transparent background for the character, for compositing with an existing image. Is this possible? I'm currently either getting a gray background with Dome turned 'On', or tranparent background when using Scene Lighting only, and Dome turned 'Off'.

Am I missing a setting, I assume?

Thx.

Dome off should work with the scene being lit by the dome, if you mean in the Environment section of Render Settings>Editor

Found it, I had 'Draw Dome' set to 'On'. for some reason. Maybe a previous lighting scene had activated that. It's usually off for me.

Thx, man. I appreciate the quick reply.

Yes, by default scenes save their render settings and apply them on loading (you can switch one or both of those behaviours off in Preferences).
