The Standard Content Directory?

Hi,
I just moved my content directory (about 1.7 TB) to a new computer and did everything according to the previously saved procedure from last time, exporting all userdata then attempting to load them in the Content DB mainetnance window . . . . but it did not work as expected. The old files load missing textures etc. despite my best efforts to duplicate everything carefully.
I looked though my directory and it is a mess: I have a lot of duplicated folders all over the place.
My question is : Is there a standard layout for the content directory that I can use to reorganise all the stuff and thus get rid of all of the duplicates and cut confusion? (and maybe cut down on the total directory size too)
I can accept that this won't solve the missing texture problem but at least it might make it easier for me to find the missing items and thus recover the files.
Thanks for your help.

I don't know if you will call it a standard, but the first folders in your content libraries should be runtime and data. Then at same level you will typically have people, props etc.
But data and runtime are essential, as they are referenced from other files, with a relative path (if within a content library), so if not you will get errors. User facing files can be moved around, but if you don't have a particular reason to do so, I would keep it as default.
If you open a product zip, you should see the default layout.
Also important is if you have more than one content libraries, they must not be nested, i.e. one content library contained in another, e.g. Daz content and Daz content/My stuff. That will cause trouble.
