Where's my gallery album?

I don't use my gallery much, and searching the forums for information is pure fail, so I hope someone can help.

Wanting to organize a little, I activated editing on my main gallery screen and clicked "+Add New Album", typed a name into the new button ("Tenaciti Superheroine"), clicked  SAVE EDITS  and DONE EDITING,  then edited a few pages to reassign them to my new album by name.
The new album's button does not appear on any of my gallery screens, though other albums from years ago do appear.  The reassigned page shows the correct pathname, but clicking on the pathname leads to an unidentified album screen with no thumbnails.  It's only when I reactivate editing that I see the new album's button.  It's like my new album has a "Hidden" checkbox that I didn't see.

What did I miss?  Thanks for reading.

    I think this happened to me when I did a similar thing. If I remember correctly it did finally appear after I added a brand new image to that gallery directly - or maybe it was a cache thing and it just needed some time to show?

    Yes, I gave it a day in case some database needed to update or propagate... still waiting.
