Shenandoah and Genesis

I've tried Genesis, Gen2, Gen3, Gen8, Gen9 and none of them are giving me options to use "compatiable".  The download for it mentions "Genesis" but gives no #.  Am I to take it that it is to work in all Genesis figures ?  Have reloaded and same results.  Is there a Gen figure that I don't know about that it works with ?  Is there a setting that I am missing ?  New user to daz.

This https://www.daz3d.com/shenandoah-for-genesis ? It's for the original Genesis, if iit isn't showing with Filter By Context  checked in Smart Content that may just be a metadata issue.

Yes ... that is the one "link" I am speaking of.  The "officers" add on doles the same.  The  "coat" add on works fine.  I went and looked in my daz content and it was there and allowed me to fit over an gen8  "just tried it quick to see".  It shows them and lets the waredrobe be applied however skin pokes through in a good amount of places.  Again ... super new to daz 'less then 1 week'.  Learning.

Does the AutoFit dialogue pop-up when you try to fit it to Genesis 8 Male?

It does.  Worked for the clothing.  Hat and props don't work in the pose & some of the poses are off "arms" and need to be dialed in the parameters.

Ah, yes - several parts are listed as "Props" on the product page - that usually means theya re not figures that are fitted to the base figure but they are single node items that get pareneted to a body part. Props cannot be converted by AutoFit (there are some scripts that will do the job, but I am not sure about Genesis to Genesis 8). What you probably need to do is move, scale, and rotate as needed to get them lined up with the part on Genesis 8 and then parent them (or Parent them wth parent In Place off, which will snap their origin to the origin of the bone - that may put them in almost the right posiition, and aligned with the bone, depending on how they are done). Parent In Place is an option in the Change Parent dialogue or the Scene pane option menu.

That vendor has a version of those outfits for G9: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-confederate-civil-war-outfit-for-genesis-9 and https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-usa-civil-war-outfit-for-genesis-9. Granted they don't have all the extra props as the G1 version, but for a new user it would probably be easier to just use G9 native clothing, so you don't have to fight with auto-fit.
