I am thinking of getting a new PC with a RTX 50xx card. I know that that GPU doesn't work w the current version of Daz, but soon they probably will. My question is, should I prefer Intel CPUs over AMD CPUs?
Just to be clear: 50xx cards are not expected to be supported in DS4 for Iray rendering in the future. The versions of Iray which support those cards can't be integrated in DS4 code base due to technical limitations, and that most likely won't change.
The only version they are compatible with is DS2026 (which is technically DS6), which is currently in beta.
I would say if you are planning on gaming then get an AMD processor - either the Ryzen 7 9800X3D or the previous generation's Ryzen 7 7800X3D. If you really prefer Intel and/or do a lot of Adobe Premiere Pro, then you would want to look at the i9-14900k (but you would need to apply the latest BIOS updates due to the stability issues).
That isn't gong to do much good. I had a non-RTX card with 6GB and it ran out rendering a nude Genesis 9 with default materials at 1,000 pixels square. An RTX card will do a bit better, but I doubt you would be able to do much with it. 16GB of system RAM is also limiting, you generally need two to three times as much system RAM as GPU RAM to take full advantage of it.

Great, thanks, so I should get dual RTX4090 cards instead, I suppose
Other than Daz Studio, what do you plan on using the PC for? That will help answer the CPU question.
I like to play games with gorgeous graphics

Super, thanks for the advice. I hope I won't have to put my wife on the streets to afford it.
In viewing this ... so is the rtx3060 not going to cut it ?
I'd also like to know about the RTX 3060. That's what I'm running.
How much memory? I ran out of RAM fairly often with the 2080Ti (11GB) on my old system.
6GB of VRam, and 16GB regular., AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with radeon graphics.

Whoops, I forgot to mention it's an RTX 3060 with 6GB Vram, I have 16GB system ram.
