Unable to view Log File?
After a new install of Daz 4.24.0.3: I'm unable to Open the View Log File element?
I click on it, but nothing happens?
Never had this problem before.
Hope someone can help.
Cheers

The log file is just a normal txt file and so will open in whichever application you have setup for that in your operating system. Try creating a txt file manually and then double-clicking it to see what program (if any) it opens with. It could be that you have accidentally unassigned an application or that application is opening the log file but is doing so with the window minimised?
It seems the only way I can view the 'Log File' is to go to my 'C' drive and get to it that way?
It seems this 4.24.0.4 is going to be a pain!! It is giving me loads of problems with previously Saved Scenes!!
Is there any way to download the previous version: 4.24.0.3 instead?
Daz3D do not provide access to previous minor versions and so if you did not save a backup of the installer zipfile then it's not possible to downgrade.
What happens if you double-click the log file? Does it open as you'd expect, or do you have to use another method? If it does open then it suggests something - e.g. security software - is blocking the Daz Studio request to open it; if it doesn't open then there is something wronf with your system's file association for .txt files, in whichc ase right-click on the fiile (or any other .xtx file)>Open With>Choose Another App and select the desired text ediitor, check the Always button to make WIndows do that for .txt files in futue.
I think you misunderstand me.
My problem is that I normally go to: Help - Troubleshooting - View Log File, and it would show me the Log File.
Now it does nothing!
I have managed to find the 'log.txt' file and can use that, but does that mean the ability to see it quicker and easier from within Daz has now ended?
I am trying to diagnose the problem - Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File should do the same as double-clicking a txt file, open it in whatever the OS is currently set to use for such files. So, what happens when you double-click the log.txt file directly?
If I click on the 'log.txt' file, it shows me the log as I would normally see it when I previously clicked on >View Log File.
It is simply a case of Nothing Happens at all now, when I click on the Help>Troubleshooting>View log File element?
So double-click on the fiel works, but click on the menu doesn't? That shouldn't be the case as they are both doing the same thing - asking the OS to do whatever it does with the file (and yes, it is working for me). Does this sample script work if you download it and edit the last line to be a link for a file (a .txt file to be as close as possible to the command that is failing)?

I'm afraid this is all way over my head!
Thanks for the help though.
