White anatomical parts

I tried copying the torso surface to the anatomical model, and while it improved things [over being white] somewhat, it still didn't look right. How do I apply the skin tone I'm using? Is there a tool or script that can fix this? I'm at a loss; I'd like a solution for both female and male anatomies.

You haven't said which generation and gender you are trying on.

If a character doesn't have dedicated materials, you can use the body/torso material, but that requires you have an appropiate UV layout.

If we are talking about G9, i think material presets for the anatomical elements geografts are not included with the base figure.

Most Character products come with such materials, e.g., Vitoria 9, Michael 9, most other characters.  At which point it would be a case of applying the material preset to the anatomical elements.

Using a dedicated material preset is probably more wise than trying to utilise the body texture maps for that, which were made for the body, not the anatomical elements.

While it probably isn't the solutiion you should make sure that both are using the same shader - recent characters will use the PBRSkin shader, but the default is the Iray Uber shader. Copy anf paste transfers settings but doesn't update the shader used.

Sigh... the DAZ gens can be a real pain, in part because many PAs don't set up appropriate seperate texture setups for them, and with most DAZ characters one has to exactly copy multiple layers of textures as they are being used on the figure itself.  Make one change and suddenly nothing matches, and things are further complicated by the increasing use of geoshells to do so many things on figures, as if the geoshell offsets aren't set up in the right order, you get what appears to be a white shell.  Fortunately there are solutions at another site where the use of the anatomy is a more of a focus, Renderotica. Yes, it's a very adult NSFW site, but there are a lot of top notch PAs there, including many who also sell at DAZ.  For ANY geoshell issues there's an amazing script called Universal Shell Fix from the PA LightBlue at Renderotica (currently on sale for $6.40) that automates the process of correctly organizing the geoshells on any figure for optimum visibility. As for the anatomy and texture issues, I recommend ditching the DAZ anatomy and trying one of the alternate geogrfts also  available 'rotica, such as GoldenPalace and NewGen for females (and I hesitate to print the names of one of the most popular male alternate but the most popular ends in ....tator).  All those come with utilities that automatically scan the figure you are using, create new textures from the existing Torso textures, and transfer all of the textures exactly as they are being used on the figure, with no special anatomy textures requred.  Making a change to the body texture, just run the transfer utility again and everything matches perfectly again.  The Palace and New Gen products also come with their own Geoshell conflict utilities, but if you have multiple geoshells being applied at once it can still end up being a bit like Jenga trying to get to the optimum order.  The Universal Shell Fix script does it all perfectly, all at once, with a single button click in just a few seconds.

I prefer to buy something in the Daz store, and nothing to worry about from somewhere else.

This product https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-9-starter-essentials-expansion available in the store, has the gens for both figures.

While not a perfect solution, due to the lack of a better definition.

So its up to Daz to enhance and bring it into a top notch quality without the need for folks to go anywhere else.

This is my humble view, no need for the mods to dish out punishment with some constructive dialogue.

Understood. That store is what it is, though FWIW, there IS a "clean" SFW version of that store called CGBytes that has all of the adult content removed and LightBlue's Universal Shell Fix is available there for the same price.  .As for the rest, like you I really wish DAZ would put in more effort to bring the ease of use of their products up to the technical level of some of the off-site vendors.  However, given that the autoscanning and application of textures for geografts has been a common feature elsewhere since the days of Genesis 3,10 years and 3 previous generations back, it makes it really hard to have much hope.
