ReaLLogo, REAL pain

I'm having real problems with RealLogo. All I want to do is import the letters and PUT THEM WHERE I WANT.  It's this second part that is impossible.  I've tried the translation set up, and the items go whereever they jolly well choose.  If only I could simply write out a word and have RealLogo put it where I want.  Sadly, I've had to go back to InDesign to get the logo I want.

If they have physics it might be somewhat easier. I'm the Hollywood sign alphabet in my wishlist and don't expect those will be any easier to place in a scene.
