going to 32 gb of ram

my imac only has 8 gb of ram, will upgrading to 32 help with daz crashing ?

appreciate any help !

    That really depends on why Daz is currently crashing - the log would have more information.

    However, 8GB RAM really isn't that much these days and so it is quite likely that this limitation is causing you some issues.

    Almost certainly, that was my experience upgrading from 8GB to 16GB on an old Windows 10 laptop a few years back, always oout oof memory on CPU renders.

    Keep in mind in your iMac you're sharing that 8GB of RAM between the CPU and the GPU. Which means the OS is taking some of that, all your other open apps are consuming some more, then rendering your screen itself is also consuming some (V)RAM. So the leftovers are for the Daz renderer, which will need to juggle caching object scenes with actually doing any rendering of the scene.
