OR "NO speech balloons"
My vote would be for the image without speech balloons.
My reasoning is that I think it is preferable to allow the viewer to spot the story/stories/easter-eggs within the image themselves as they look at it, rather than having things more "pointed out".
Thanks kindly for the reply, I truly appreciate your opinion...
I honestly don't know.
I think a couple of stories (eg ring bottom left) benefit from the balloons, but bottom right, I don't think they add anything. So.. both are better in places. Not very helpful, I know.Though my feeling is that the ballooned one is closer to being right.
Regards,
Richard
Thank you...
It's fun to imagine what they're saying to each other, and interesting to see what they actually said, so personally I think they work best as a pair!
I've been a comic book fan for many years, so I'm a fan of speech bubbles, but having said that, I prefer the image without. There is so much going on in the scene, allowing the viewer to decide for themselves what's going on is a lot more engaging. The human mind is so creative and comes up with even more fun stories than you may have even intended. Allowing the viewer to interpret the scenarios is powerful too, as it helps the viewer engage more with the art.
Nicely done by the way, it must have taken ages to set up that scene! SO MANY characters and so much going on in one shot. The patience it must have taken to set all that up. That's impressive!
I can't help but wonder what time period the image represents. Probably not today, everyone's faces would be stuck to their phones and not paying attention to anything else around them. lol
I do miss the days when people actually interacted with each other rather than mainly interacting with the screens in front of their faces.
