Suggestions for the software Daz team
Not sure if Daz developers see these postings, but here is a suggestion or two...
I would like the ability to
- not see older generation poses and clothes in the Content tab. I am G9 only since I am new to Daz. Having to read the text to find out if those shoes will fit Michael 9 is annoying
- tag stuff in the store "Don't show again". If I have taken the trouble to read the description of a product, I don't want to have to do it again. Or, disable seeing the product for a year, or label it with a red 'x' like the opposite of a wishlist. Actually, just being able to tag things would be nice. Maybe you are working on two stories, and something would be useful in the future. Putting it into the wishlish where I have hundreds of things, is not helpful.
Thanks in advance!

In the Content Library, just don't look in the folders that are for older generations.it's not like anyone's put G8 shoes or poses into the Genesis 9 folder.
In Smart Content, turn on "Filter by Content", it will then only show you content that is flagged as compatible with your current selection.
This exists as a feature in the Daz Deals store plugin.

I will however note that flagging things to not show them again should be used cautiously, because the number of times I've thought "I don't need this" and it's actually turned out to be "I don't need this *right now*" is not inconsiderable, at which point having blocked them from showing up in searches is a big nuisance.
So far I've only used it for stuff I know I bought at another store before it moved to Daz, and which I therefore don't want to end up accidentally purchasing twice.
Thanks, Matt, for helping me. I don't see the folders you mention. If you have a moment, take a look at the picture attached. My poses, for instance, are all mixed up between G8 and G9. Are you saying there is a way to separate them?
Currently, Filter by context doesn't work once you have opened a product in Smart Content. I think it's or will be fixed in Daz Studio 2026 but the fix will not be backported to Daz Studio 4.24 AFAIK.
There is a solution though: if you want only the poses for Genesis 9, go into the search field on top of the Smart Content Panel and type:
name::G9
It should filter all files and only display the one with G9 in their name.
Thanks, Elor. Is there a way to do that in just a folder? If I do the search in the bar, I get files from across my Content Library
I don't know and I don't have the product you're speaking about.
Looking at the product's readme, Genesis 8 poses are supposed to be in '/People/Genesis 8/Poses/Z Loved Up/' and Genesis 9 in '/People/Genesis 9/Poses/Zeddicuss/Z Loved Up/', so you should not have the poses from different generations mixed together:
https://docs.daz3d.com/public/read_me/index/88540/file_list
That's why I made that suggestion because the only place I thought you could see such a mix is in Smart Content.
In which folder are you to see all poses together?
I suspect they're looking in the "Products" part of the Content Library, which will show everything associated with one product in the same folder.
It's better to go to Daz Studio Products > My Daz3D Library > People > Genesis 9 , then look in the various subfolders there for the things you need: characters, clothing, poses etc.
However, PAs do like to hide their products in obscure places, so another way is to find the product you want in the alphabetcal Products tree, find something in it that is G9, right-click on it and choose Show Asset in > Mapped folder. That will take you to the correct folder, which will probably be in People/Gnensis 9 somewhere.
