A burning question answered

Today, Pyromantix's Volumetric Inferno is free. Thanks Pyro!

I needed a fire for an open fireplace and wanted to share how I saved a few bucks.
If you take one of Pyro's infernos (no. eleven in this render) and go to Surface tab, you can copy the fire surface onto the smoke surface.
Then scale the conflagration down and place it in the fire place and you get something like the attached which works for me.
By rotating the blaze 15 degrees every time you do a new render, you can get some variety/realism in the background.

Keep warm! I don't need a fire, I have my GPU.

Thanks for this tip! Now I'll have fire in all those vacant fireplaces. Very useful, and it's free; a winning combination.

    Yes, thanks. smiley

Apparently not only did I already license this, I've used it in my tiny gallery. You're invited.
