can't install content or reinstall deleted content

I don't understand all the settings. Content I had been using is missing. The Install program won't let me change the location for installation and apparently puts items in the wrong place on installation and when I try to install or reinstall something just puts up a red "retry" message which is simply repeated if I do try to install again. I can't find my old content. Can anyone explain where every thing is actually stored? I ran out of room on the C drive and have put the data base on the D drive under users, public, public documents.

In Install manager try adding a new location, and then making that active, rather than changing the current location.
The database isn't the content, though it is used to generate all of the content listings exactp for the Daz Studio/Poser/Other Formats lists in the Content Library. Changing the Content Cluster location won't move the database,it will just the new location for new data.
