A Bridge too far

When the bridge over the canal fell down due to erosion, Jack had this wonderful idea to use his old school project, his precious catapult, to send people over the canal, but they did fly one bridge too far.

    Attic Convergence
Because they hated the times they lived in, Space Corps recruits Carl and Pete volunteered for the Infinite Space Flight. It seemed like a great idea. (What have we got to lose?, mused Pete.) Years later, out of boredom, they pressed the emergency time travel button. It also seemed like a great idea.

Wizardess Milia found a spell to get herself out of the wretched seventeenth century. It seemed like a great idea.

All were dismayed to find themselves in a cluttered attic somewhere in the mid-twentieth century.

    The Happy Train

In Lisbon, entertainment entrepreneur Remigio Fernandes created the Happy Train. He added an engine and pulled trams around the tram tracks that now worked as moving bars. The result caused traffic problems as the trains had to share the streets with cars and people, and tourists just dropped their rented scooters on the streets everywhere to jump on the train.

    The Drive-Thru Medieval experience

After the failure with the Happy Train, entertainment entrepreneur Remigio Fernandes bought an old medieval castle and created  his drive-thru medieval experience. The problem was that the live action actors dropped their weapons, and sometime fell themselves, damaging cars and visitors, so the insurance company close down the establishment.

    Dr Showpot's Retreat
The Third Woodland War ended with the destruction of most wild places and wild sentient creatures were sent to asylums/reservations. Dr Showpot convinced the government that he could teach them meditation to deal with their "anger issues." It was a great idea, but whenever there was a tourist flyover, all hell broke loose. (Dr Showpot didn't know where the weapons came from.)

    Balls

"I know you've got huge balls. But do you really think, it's a good idea to go to the pool, today?"

    "YES!"

    Pumpkinhead Security
The Reilly Brothers Security and Surveillance Solutions Systems contracted the AI Pumpkinheads to create the ultimate home protection system. They were amazed but skeptical when the Pumpkinheads revealed their reducing machine, the best solution for neutralizing potential threats.

    Anti gravity flight

Tech investor Senan O'Dugan convinced the city council to allow his self flying personal airspeeder based on his revolutionary anti gravity system, to be allowed in the city traffic.  The problem was that the anti gravity field wreaked havoc on peoples hair.

    Remigio for Mayor

Remigio Fernandes went into politics and ran for the Mayor's office. He based his politics on a questionnaire he ran on TikTok and in some posh schools. A group of Martini drinking retired police officers found his name on multiple occasions in the Epsilon-files, after they had printed all the documents. They arrested him at his campaign office and brought him to justice.

    The Busker's Assistant
Dirk, AKA Mr Stretch, was in need of employment when he grew tired of being a superhero. His Aunt Blanche hired him to attract crowds to her busking area. It was a great idea, but the people who flocked after him weren't interested in Blanche's talents.

    It may happen anytime soon!

It's always a good idea to be prepared for Christmas to arrive unexpectedly. And when they found a plant in the great hall, Koa, with his Hawaiian expertise, was able to identify it with certainty: Christmas tree.

The girls were considerably more skeptical. Besides, Christmas was still 10 months away.

The Nile Sun and Safari Retreat

After the political debacle, the Fernandes family sent Remigio abroad, until the storm had calmed down. Remigio got a brilliant idea while travelling in Egypt. He bought a hotel complex close to the Nile river, and fenced off the crocodiles, so the tourists could swim in the same water as crocodiles without any dangers. Everything was smooth, until this guy calling himself Tarzan, started to challenge the tourists to dive from the natural stone bridge, on the wrong side of the fence.

    Title: Sleeping on the Court
Caption: He thought taking a nap on the basketball court would fulfill his doctor’s orders of getting more fresh air, but he should have picked a time when it wouldn’t be in use.

    Dangers of Indoor Running

*Beep* Please refrain from running indoors, as it increases the risk of trips or unintended collisions.

Checking the ancient dungeon beneath the mage's tower for forgotten treasures or spellbooks, seemed like a good idea. If only they had remembered to check whether the security systems were still intact, first...

    Burt's real estate agency

Burt was so sick of all the wide angle shots and untruthfully descriptions when looking for a new home, so he decided to start his own real estate agency. He took over prospects that didn't sell and tried to sell them in a more honest way. The result? He went bankrupt after 4 months as  he didn't close one single deal.

    Tea With Her New Neighbors
When Maudie moved to the countryside it seemed like a great idea to invite the darling little woodland folks to a tea party. They weren't as civilized as she would liked.

    Unexpected Surprises

When Marcy and Zach had seen the abandoned dog wandering aimlessly around the park, it had seemed like a great idea to take her home.  She needed somewhere to live, and they had always wanted a dog, but didn’t want to deal with a rambunctious puppy.  So this calm, sweet adult dog was perfect!  However, it turned out that she had a little surprise for them.  Or actually, six little surprises!  Well, there went their peace and quiet…

    Rendered in Daz Studio Iray.

    Postwork in Pixelmator Pro.

    No AI used.

    A throne up north

April always wanted to throne over all of humanity. That's why she took her trusted elephant and travelled to the north pole.
But on arrival everything went south, when she discovered that someone else had the same great idea.

    Edie call hairdresser

Edie, while driving home through the highway tunnel, saw a phone and thought it would be a good idea to stop and call the hairdresser, to schedule an appointment to change her hair color so it would match her new dress and shoes. Perhaps the other drivers in line behind her didn't think it was a good idea.
