It has been a while since I have been here..... I stopped using Carrara and moved to blender for my  3D stuff though I miss Carrara and it is still installed on my old computer.  Just wondering what was going on here..    It doesn't look super busy but busy, too bad Daz did a number on Carrara.   I tried starting up Blender groups to create animations with not much success.  I am doing animations and have a couple of youtube channels , one for young kids and one for older kids.

Hope this place gets super busy again.

consider selling your Carrara content on Renderosity too enlightened

are still a few of your sets I never picked up (though I do own quite a lot)

I am currently working on a still image for a contest, using Carrara with a DAZ Studio background.  I use the same approach for animations, those iRay renders can be pretty stunning.  But this particular contest is for still images only.

we hung on pretty well until the ai avalanche suffocated  us, some have adapted, others have quit in disgust, maybe we should have a mmoir render thread :)

I hope using ai to animate between frames was not upsetting,

I do try to use it as a tool for editing, mostly video interpolation and tweening, not to prompt art from scratch with no effort

    (I didn't see your comment)

it was many Carrara sets I rendered into videos from images, not just yours

it would take me a week or more to actually render those transitions in Carrara and cook my CPU

I actually can no longer do it now because Wan2.2 stopped working on my 2080Ti

so I am back to 3D rendering only

these were the renders I used BTW, took me a couple days to just do those as only have a AMD Ryzen3

I do have Octane but procedural shaders won't work

baking them all with Inagoni is on my to do list

Hey Headwax,  sorry for deleting the post . I was having problems uploading a  embeded link that would show a  youtube video on the site I was posting to .  So, I just tested it here and deleted it as fast as I could but I guess you saw it.   I can't remember what video it was now  but it was AI, I am better at animating but not that good.

WendyLuvsCatz,   interesting take on creating first and last frames in Carrara and then using Ai to interpolate between them. Do I have this correct?   Do you  have a link to a video where you did this?

No problems , yes ai is rampant, people keep sending me weird videos that I might like, they think they were made by humans.... they dint understand that i find if insulting

the 3 in my post are examples

some only use first frames, those are the weird ones laugh

I thought that was why you deleted your post blush

not having seen it and Headwax asking if it used ai

it's a very controversial tool among artists understandably

which why now I don't really use it to just create art from prompt alone but rather modify my own 3D renders and my family photos

The   videos have a certain style that I could get used to.  Nice job.
