New Years Apologies

I've been getting a bit over-excited by some things here lately. I apologize.

This long-running sale is sure to generate some excitement, true.

I lost a good friend on Christmas Eve. She was 102 years old.

We used to sit at the same table during lunch, for a few years. Then she moved to the "Care Center," because she needed extra care.

We received notice that there are three new COVID cases in our building. We're a Senior Citizen building. We're frightened.

This is the first anniversary of when I lost the hearing in my right ear. I have this silly worry that I might lose hearing in my left ear.

Yesterday one of my lunch friends disappeared just before we went in for lunch. Her "boyfriend" (90 years old) was frantic.

In a community like ours, "disappeared" could mean that someone fell or passed out and needs immediate potentially life-saving help.

I still don't know if my friend was found. Hopefully I'll see her when I go down to lunch today.

So it's time to sit back and take it easy.

On the happy side, I might finally get my fuzzy slippers today. They were delayed in transit.

Makes sense you've been upset, sorry to hear that.   surprise

Is your friend that disappeared okay?

I don't think you have to apologize at all, it's okay to get emotional once in a while wink.  I do hope the new year picks up for you and that some good things happen real soon. Sending you best wishes across the ocean from Europe.

    Thanks, friends, for your support.

Our missing friend experience was a misunderstanding.

She was in her apartment, wearing her headphones while watching TV.

Things are looking up a bit for me. I bought some new clothes. They should arrive tomorrow.

I have to laugh! This will be the first time in over 4 years where I wear a "real" pair of pants, rather than sweat pants.

I lost my kitty Oscar on Christmas Eve!  I understand loosing loved ones.  Ten years ago, I lost my grandma during the holiday season.
