Bought an animal model and have no idea how to get hair to show up

Recently bought this animal model from this creator and was excited to use it in a scene I had in mind. However, no matter how much I tinker with it I can't seem to get the hair to show up when I test render it? I have the "LAMH Free Player" extension already but nothing I do seems to be working. Does anyone know why this is?

in iray you need to create a mesh to see it in iray

it only shows up in 3Delight render engine which was discontinued yesterday

AM has the Catalyzer that does this on the fly for his figures
