Hello!

I was wondering if there's a correct way to install third party charactes since I tried and failed by just placing the unzipped folder of the Genesis 9 character in Genesis 9 charactes folder and apparently it doesn't load the textures when I open the character.duf

Since I install everything manually anyway, put your zip file in a folder with the name of your character.  Unzip it there.

    You should have three folders.

    Data

    People

Runtime (which contains the Texture folder)

Find your Daz Library in Windows Exployer where you have your other Genesis 9 characters.

There will be many folders there and including Data and Runtime.

Move your new character's Data and Runtime there.

Open Daz Studio again and your everything should be in it's proper place.  I have attached my Genesis Daz Library.  I actually have many Daz Libraries.

You can see highlight where I have my Genesis 9 products AND where the Data and Runtime folders are.

You should always keep a copy of your purchase somewhere else in it's original form as a backup.  If you have an external drive, you can put it there.  If you have Microsoft One Drive, put it there.
