...I got along with the Riverboat with the second coupon.
This Riverboat is the prefered boat of my mom. That's why I named it "Gilbert" which is her name.
My father was USCG and his brother USN and baby brother US Marine. I grew-up with (sanitized) stories of their lives during WWII and even had the chance to work on a decomissioned Coast Guard Cutter in my teens. Your ships and in my runtime so I can bring those memories back. PT boats, destroyers, were common subjects in our home. As well as steam locomotives and that is now in my runtime. I was able to drive a steam locomotive when I was still a pre-teen (1/4 inch scale) at the Los Angeles Live Steamers. And there are the sailing ships I love.
I will miss you sir and hope your retirement is joyful and long. You have brought so much to happiness to the DAZ Studio world, thank you.
Mary
Thank you for your message Mary and happy New Year for You and all your family.
It won't be there anymore on the 1st January. I suppose it is on Daz Time ref.
Thank you for the warning.
There is a countdown on each of your item now: around 67 hours before they are gone.
A small question regarding the Teuf-Teuf I have been meaning to ask for a while but always forgot to: do you have lossless version of the Iray textures? Jpeg artifacts are visible around lines on some of the paints (and I'm not good enough to fix the problem myself
). An example with around the white lines, in the purple areas:
The textures were made with Adobe Painter (Substance Painter). I still have a backup of the Adobe files. If you want them, I can give you those. Just need a mail.
Just bought 11 items that I was eyeing off to add to my 3djoji collection. All the best for the future !
@3DJoji, Thanks for all your detailed modeling and for the heads up your store is closing. I had already bought long ago many of your Toon Generations products, but this week on hearing you were closing, I added all of your Planes, Trains, & Automobiles, & Boats tooo, because it's not like this level of detail or even these type of items are going to show up again for us to buy is it? Isn't procrastination great? I'm not sure which is my favorite though, they are all quite good and detaiiled, but I'll go for either the train engine or the Mississippi River paddle boat. I also like the historical background you gave for each one on their sales page too.
I wish you a pleasant & fun retirement.
Is the harness used for the Tilbury Mood etc. available anywhere?
I designed this one long ago for the toon horse of 3DUniverse, at that time of Content Paradise, and Daz never accepted this item, it was of no interrest for them. But I think I've still the backp files of it. Send me an address mail at [email protected] and I will give you the zip.
May I contact you as well about this?
And me three?
@3djoji I wanted to ask about that harness as well. It looks great. Would it be okay for me to also send you an e-mail requesting the files?
Thank you so much for letting us know that you're closing your shop. In the past I bought Leudo and the Armed Virignia Sloop. I love both of them though Leudo is my favourite. Thanks to your notice, I was now able to complete my collection of your ships, all of them are now in my library. I'm really happy I managed to pick them up before they disappeared. Your models are truly exquisite. Your attention to detail is amazing, you'll be missed. I always hoped to see more ship models from a more distant past from you, like Leudo and the Armed Virginia Sloop. I'm sad to see you go. I wish you all the best!
You are all free to contact me, don't use the internal mail Daz system, use [email protected] instead, I won't visit the Site after the 31st december.
I hope you received those as well :-)
I'm also very interested in that harness set - I will email.
Thank you for the wonderful items you created and sold here - my favourites are the ships but I also love the horse-related ones and most of the toon vehicles.
Thank you especially for letting us know about your store closure - I managed to pick up several more items that I never quite got around to but always like the look of.
This is the last chance to get somewhat still pending in your whishlist. I thank everybody who spare some $ to support my modest art and I hope to everybody a great success for all the years coming so quickly.
I don't suffer from the infliction of not having many of your products, I have most of them LOL and it was a delight to feature many over in my Art Studio thread when I was running that for many years. Your products are so uniquely crafted and I enjoyed the craftsmanship. Never had to worry about anything being sub-par! Enjoy your next adventure, and thanks SO much for all the effort you put into your work. It showed!

This is almost certainly more down to Iray's own texture compression than it is the compression on the texture files themselves.
Iray's texture compression is okay about many things, but it's really bad about sharp colour transitions, and I really wish there was a function to be able to flag specific textures to be excluded from compression.
On the last day, I really loved the battleships, but I knew I probably wouldn't be able to render them, and I'd already gone way over budget. In the end, I opted for the cartoon cars and the cruise ship. I was delighted with the comedic effect of stuffing huge figures into the cartoon cars, and the cruise ship was of exceptionally high quality. It seemed to be the only mega-cruise ship on DAZ with a complete exterior; thankfully, I bought it before losing it.
In this age of rising AI, I especially want to thank the artists who truly strive to create beautiful works of art. Wherever you go, best of luck.
This render is beautifull and I love it. Thank you for making my heart rocking. I hope you all you desire, the best. Thank you.
Thanks for the heads up. I was able to grab some I had been looking at. Best of luck with whatever you do in the future.
I went and picked up the Fletcher and Fletcher bridge set and I must say the detail is very impressive, particularly the 40 and 20 mm AA mounts (and I love that they are available as modular subsets so they can be loaded by themselves too). I am embarrassed that I didn't look at these earlier. Now if I can only find some similar sets for Japanese WWII era destroyers (Fubuki/Kagero/Akizuki class or the like) for a massive sea battle...
Best wishes for you for the future, and thank you for the assets you had on sale.
I know I'd never be able to render the ships, but I did enjoy exploring them on the store pages.
And I did fall in love with your https://www.daz3d.com/toy-dog! Adorable! Bought it right away.
Wishing you joy in the future.
Thank you so much! Happy new year for you and your family
I only had a few left to get, so I have managed to make a clean sweep. Maybe someday I will actually render some...
Wishing you all the best for the future.
(Note: for anyone looking for MAK 79, it is available over at 3dshards.c o m)
I can't afford all the modern warships, but I bought the remaining sailing vessels and the horse-drawn vehicles.
Fare well!
I've purchased a number of your models, meshes, and shaders over the years, and I will be sorry to see you go. I purchased the last remaking items I was waiting to purchase because of your timely warning. Good and good fortune in the future!
thank you for the info about the mrk79, this is a stunning robot (I made all the morphs)
