Please help with black background in render.

Please help with black background in render.

I need to do some postwork and wanted some snow props and tree props as png images.

I am using My Cold Place for the major environment.  My Cold Place | Daz 3D

I turned off My Cold Place props.  I turned off the dome.  I changed the the Draw Dome to off.  I changed the background to not render.

I seached and have read a lot about black backgrounds, however not revlient to my problem, that I can tell.

Please, if you know what might be the problem, let me know.  I just started with Daz Studio 4.24 a few months ago.  I had used 4.15, I think, for years.

It's like the Cadillac of Daz Studio, however, I have so much to learn :)

Thank you for all of your help!!

A problem like this popped up with another user a couple of days ago. It could be CANVASES under your RENDER SETTINGS. If there are any presets within those windows, remove them. Should help if that's the problem.

Just a thought - are you saving as .jpg or .png?  You'll need to be saving as png for a transparent background - sounds like you have everything else right.

I tried it and the only time a black background appeared was when I loaded the prop "My Cold Place Sky", which is a 3delight prop. Once I removed it again I had no problems. Even when I used the 3dl environment version I didn't get the black background in Iray.

If you want a tranparent background, then in the Environment Tab, the Type should be "None", not "Backdrop". However I would expect your background in this case to be white, not black.

    Thank you so much, guys.

I attached my screenshots, saved as a png.

I am going to save the tree and the additional snow as Scene Subsets, create a new scene and try to get the same lighting without any background.

I have an appointment, so I cannot do it now.

This is what I am working on...see attached.

I had to render the fox in a seperate render because my computer kept crashing.

Now, I want to make him look like he really was part of the scene :)

I have already done some postwork, on the fox...removing part of his tail to show he is behind the Queen.

Again, I could easily save the props I want to a scene subset and render just them.  It's those special lights that I am using. I don't know what I did :(
