Lauryn is the "Centaur 9", Centaur 9 isn't really a character, it's like Tara and the Succubus form, or the Dryad Add-On for Sylvia.

Toon: excluded; I don't render toons so far.

The men largely look like more distinct characters. I've waffled between Julius, Bishop, and Charlie and his soldier gear. I bought Julius first because the price was right first, but it could easily have gone another way.

The Sisters -- I mean, the women. I'd take four or five of them to add to the gene pool: Audrey (pale), Kayla (dark and the strongest impression of personality),  Ava (long face), Xiao (East Asian), Elena (brachycephalic and notable eyes). More than five looks seriously redundant, though.

Willow 9 (and the ability to render Filatoon on a Mac thanks to the DAZ Studio Alpha) got me buying again and into Genesis 9. Asha 9 (stylized) helped a lot too. I use Asha 9's Filatoon skins for all my Gen 9 females.

Where the Willow 9 theme was "TOS Trek", I'm hoping against hope that they'll come out with a proper male version and possibly a "TNG Trek" theme to go with it. I can dream, can't I? Santa? You there?

A male version of Asha 9 with a matching texture/shader set would also be extremely welcome.

I have lots of favourites among the PA genesis 9 offerings

agreed on the DO characters. I have quite a few now though, especially with the Premier free bundles.  I like the PA characters a whole lot more, male and female. Much more diversity in look. Dare to be different, DAZ. When I walk down the street, I don;t see many people looking like DO characters. A few for sure, but humans are pretty different looking.

It's really striking how similar many of the female characters look. I found most of the disappointing on their own merits - seeing it laid out like this is really frustrating.

That being said, the best character was obviously Astaroth. Just an awesome looking character.

I did like Kayla, too. I did not really like Lauryn and Ava themselves so much, but their bundles really brought a lot to the table, so I still really appreciate them.

Honestly we have a range of male characters from young to old, from beautiful to ugly, but no variety with women. If you want realistic older female characters, you don't find them here.

What I find odd is I don't remember most of these characters. In the 200 list, there are 72 G9. I pay attention to G9. Almost none of them were wishlisted by me. And I wishlist freely. Some of the PAs I've never heard of before.

I did find some I liked. LM Nevva and CHB Charlotte.

That pretty much sums up our mass media culture that emphasizes youth, especially female youth. I do find a much larger variety of characters, male and female, here on DAZ compared to other sites.

As for my favorite DAZ Original character of 2025- I really like the ones I have!
